The two female dogs were found together in a black, metal cage on Sunday, Oct. 29, in Port Morris Park in Roxbury, the Morris County Sheriff James Gannon said.

The top of the cage was covered with a red blanket and the cage itself, was secured and held together with zip ties and a ratchet strap.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for anyone who can offer information. Call 973-COP-CALL with tips.
